Following the recommendations of the Task Force Committee formed by the government for changes in the evaluation system in primary education, the government has changed the examination-result-evaluation system for classes 3 to 8. In which the unit (fortnightly) test system has been canceled and now the quarterly test system has been introduced from this year. In which the first quarterly test will be started simultaneously in all primary schools from August 18th. While the dates-time table of the first semester i.e. six-monthly exam has also been announced by GCERT. According to which the first semester exam will be conducted from October 6th.
Fortnightly unit test cancelled
The government has made important changes in the education of classes 3 to 8 in all primary schools in the state, including government, granted, corporation-run and private. In which it has now been decided to implement a 360-degree comprehensive evaluation system. Following which, a new examination-evaluation system has also been announced by GCERT. The unit test system for classes 3 to 8 has been canceled and now a quarterly test has been implemented in its place. The first quarterly test will be conducted in all schools simultaneously from August 18 to 30 and in which one test of each subject will have to be taken for 40 marks. The timetable for which will be decided by the schools themselves. Schools will now have to take one test of each subject for 40-40 marks in a period of 15 days in each session.
